Chunky Cranberry Sauce (Southern Living Best Recipes) 4 cups fresh cranberries 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1 (13 ounce) jar orange marmalade 3 tablespoons lemon juice 1 C coarsely chopped walnuts, toasted 2 C Sugar
Wash and drain cranberries, discarding over or under ripe ones. Combine sugar and cinnamon; add cranberries, stirring well. Spoon mixture into a lightly greased 9-inch square pan. Cover and bake at 350° F for 45 minutes. Uncover and add orange marmalade, lemon juice, and walnuts, stirring well. Serve sauce warm or chilled. Cover and store in refrigerator. Yield: 4 cups |

Pati’s Apple Cheese Crisp
(Serves 6-8) 2 C. Fresh, peeled and sliced apples ¼ lb Grated cheddar cheese 1 T. Lemon Juice ¼ C Butter or Margarine 1/3 T. Cinnamon ¾ C Sugar 1/8 tsp. Salt ½ C. Sifted flour Put apple slices in the bottom of a buttered casserole. Sprinkle with lemon juice and cinnamon. Make topping. Mix together sugar, flour, salt and grated cheese. Work in the butter until mixture is crumbly. Put mixture on top of apples. Bake at 350 degrees, or until golden brown. Let cool for 15-20 minutes before serving.
